Sazgar Shuttle overview and our opinion

Engine and gearbox

The 6, 7 and 9-seat versions share Sazgar’s 200cc four-stroke, water-cooled engine with CDI ignition, rated at 10.5 kW (about 14 hp) at 7,000 rpm and 15 Nm at 5,500 rpm. A five-speed constant-mesh manual gearbox with reverse and a wet multi-plate clutch is standard. The spec sheets list petrol as the fuel and quote 32 km per litre with a 90 km/h top speed, while the product listing describes these models as CNG/petrol. The tank holds just 6.9 litres, so expect frequent refuelling on long shifts.

Size and practicality

The Shuttle 6 Seater is 3,100 mm long, 1,380 mm wide and 1,870 mm tall on a 2,220 mm wheelbase. The 7 Seater is 3,180 mm long and 1,320 mm wide with a 2,020 mm wheelbase; Sazgar describes it as a modified Deluxe that carries six passengers plus the driver. The 9 Seater is the longest at 3,500 mm, with a 1,300 mm width and a 2,220 mm wheelbase. All three quote a 400 kg maximum payload and ride on 135-10 tyres with a hydraulic front shock absorber and leaf-spring rear suspension. Ground clearance is 115 mm on the 6 and 9-seaters and 100 mm on the 7 Seater.

Equipment by variant

Equipment is simple across the range: a drum brake at the front, a hydraulic disc brake at the rear, a 12-volt electrical system and a 35 W headlight on a pipe-frame chassis. Sazgar says the 7 Seater comes with safety features but does not list them. Beyond seating layout and body size, the website does not separate equipment by variant.

Warranty

No warranty terms are published on Sazgar’s website. Get the dealer’s warranty in writing before buying, particularly if the vehicle will run long daily hours on a fixed route.

Which variant to buy

In our view, the 6 Seater is the best all-rounder, with the widest body of the three and a long wheelbase. The 7 Seater is shorter and narrower, which may suit tighter streets. The 9 Seater carries the most people, but it uses the same 200cc engine and the same 400 kg payload rating, so we expect it to feel slow when full; it suits flat, fixed routes such as factory or campus shuttles. Sazgar labels the 7 Seater an export model, so confirm local availability first, and treat online price estimates for this range with caution.
