The Cyberster is MG’s all-electric roadster and the most expensive car in its Pakistani line-up. It is offered with a single motor or dual motors. MG’s page lists the single-motor version as rear-wheel drive with 230 kW, while the dual-motor version produces 375 kW (496 hp) and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, with launch control. MG quotes up to 507 km of WLTP range and an estimated 38 minutes to charge from 10 to 80 percent on a 150 kW DC public rapid charger. PakWheels lists a 77 kWh battery for both versions and ranges of 507 km for the single motor and 443 km for the dual motor.
This is a strict two-seater. PakWheels gives its dimensions as 4,535 mm long, 1,913 mm wide and 1,329 mm tall on a 2,690 mm wheelbase, with 130 mm of ground clearance and a 249-litre boot. The fully electric soft top folds away for open-air driving, and the doors open upwards in scissor style. The low ride height means care is needed over Pakistani speed breakers. MG’s page lists 19-inch alloy wheels, although PakWheels lists 245/40 R20 tyres, so confirm the wheel size for your chosen version.
The cabin is built around a wraparound three-screen cockpit, and MG lists Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and an 8-speaker Bose audio system. Other headline features are the electric hood, scissor doors and launch control. PakWheels reports a wider equipment list including adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert, autonomous emergency braking, front and rear parking sensors, a 3D around-view camera, dual-zone automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, an auto-dimming mirror, memory seats and 64-colour ambient lighting, with four airbags.
MG’s Cyberster page does not publish warranty terms, and the official brochure was too large to open, so ask your dealer for vehicle and battery warranty details. Our advice: before booking, also ask which MG service points near you are equipped to handle high-voltage electric cars and how quickly body and glass parts can be supplied.
In our opinion, the single-motor GT is the more sensible choice: it costs Rs 2,900,000 less, offers the longer quoted range and is still very quick. The dual-motor GT is for buyers who want the sharpest acceleration and all-wheel-drive traction. Either way, the Cyberster is a weekend and lifestyle car rather than daily family transport, given its two seats, small boot and low clearance.
