The Jetour T1 i-DM is a plug-in hybrid built around a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine (1,499 cc) and an electric drive system, with a combined output of 340 hp and 530 Nm. It uses an 18.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery that gives a claimed 100 km of electric range (NEDC) and a combined range of up to 1,200 km with a full 70-litre tank. DC fast charging takes the battery from 30% to 80% in under 30 minutes in suitable conditions. Six drive modes are offered: Normal, Sport, Economy, Snow, EV and HEV.
The T1 is a five-seat crossover with a boxy, off-road-inspired look, but it uses a monocoque body and front-wheel drive. It measures 4,705 mm long, 1,967 mm wide and 1,843 mm tall, with a 2,800 mm wheelbase and 200 mm of ground clearance, which makes it larger than the Kia Sportage and Hyundai Tucson. Boot space is listed at 448 litres and it rides on 19-inch wheels with 235/60 R19 tyres. There is no conventional spare wheel.
A single version is sold in Pakistan. It comes with six airbags and Level 2 driver assistance, including forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist and blind spot monitoring, along with stability and traction control, hill start and hill descent control, tyre pressure monitoring, ISOFIX mounts and a 540-degree camera with a transparent underbody view. Inside there is a 15.6-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, nine Sony speakers, a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, rear AC vents, push-button start and a power tailgate. It can also power outside devices through vehicle-to-load at up to 3.3 kW.
Third-party listings quote a 5-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty and an 8-year or 160,000 km battery warranty, but we could not confirm these terms from Jetour Pakistan, so check them with the dealer and get them in writing before booking.
There is one variant, the T1 i-DM at Rs 10,799,000 ex-factory, and Jetour has also offered its Dominator styling kit for the T1 at Rs 2,000,000 extra. In our opinion, the T1 suits buyers who want plug-in hybrid running costs and rugged looks without paying T2 money. If you need real all-wheel drive, look at the T2 2.0 XWD instead. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support was not confirmed at the time of writing, so check it on the showroom car.
