Zongfa N1 overview and our opinion

Battery and motor

The Zongfa N1, sold by ZhongFa EV, is the most affordable model in the brand’s current official line-up. It uses a 1000 W electric motor fed by a 60V 24Ah lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack with an IP-65 rating, which means the pack is sealed against dust and water splashes. ZhongFa EV quotes a top speed of 45 km/h and a range of 80 to 90 km per charge, with a full charge taking around 3 to 4 hours using the supplied 73V 7A charger. Those figures put the N1 firmly in the city-commuter class rather than the highway class, so it suits short daily trips to work, college or the market.

Size and practicality

The N1 is a compact scooter on 10-inch wheels. ZhongFa EV lists a maximum carrying capacity of 130 kg, which is lower than the 180 kg or more quoted for the brand’s bigger scooters, so it is best thought of as a solo rider’s machine or for a light pillion. The company highlights an upright handlebar with a front handle height of 43 inches and a width of 17 to 18 inches, giving a relaxed riding position. ZhongFa EV has not published official dimensions, weight, seat height or storage capacity, so check these in the showroom if they matter to you.

Equipment

There is a single version of the N1 on sale. It comes with LED lighting, a front disc brake and a rear drum brake. The official page does not mention a digital display, USB port, keyless start or storage details, so we have not listed them as features. It is offered in red, blue and black.

Warranty

ZhongFa EV says its bikes carry warranty cover on the motor, battery and controller, but the official website does not state the length of the warranty for the N1. Ask the dealer to put the warranty period and battery terms in writing before you pay.

Which version to buy

As there is only one N1 version, the choice comes down to colour. In our opinion, the N1 makes sense for riders who want the lowest entry price into the ZhongFa range and mainly ride inside the city at modest speeds. If you regularly carry a passenger, ride on faster roads or want a longer range, the Y108 or Parkour are worth comparing, as they offer a higher load capacity for a moderate increase in price. Older listings on some price portals show an N-1 with a graphene battery and a lower price, so make sure you are being quoted for the current LFP model.
