The Zongfa 007 is an electric scooter listed on ZhongFa EV’s official website, but no price has been published for it yet, so we list it as upcoming. It uses a 1500 W motor and a 72V 30Ah lithium battery. Official figures are a top speed of more than 60 km/h and a range of more than 80 km per charge. The specification table gives a charging time of 3 hours with a 10A charger, while the headline figure on the same page says 2 to 3 hours. A 72V system with a 60 km/h-plus top speed puts it above the brand’s 60V scooters, such as the N1, Y108 and Parkour, in performance.
The 007 rides on 12-inch wheels front and rear and has a maximum rated load of more than 170 kg, so it is designed to carry two people. A practical front storage compartment keeps small essentials within easy reach. ZhongFa EV has not published dimensions, weight, seat height or suspension details for the 007, so these will need to be checked once the scooter reaches showrooms. Disc brakes on both wheels are a useful safety advantage over the N1 and Y108, which use a rear drum.
The official page lists front and rear disc brakes, a digital dashboard, bright LED headlights, integrated handlebar controls and the front storage compartment. ZhongFa EV also highlights its sporty, aggressive front styling. It is shown in grey and red. As with the rest of the range, the page does not mention USB charging or ABS.
ZhongFa EV says its bikes carry warranty cover on the motor, battery and controller, but no warranty period has been published for the 007. Confirm the warranty terms once sales begin, and ask whether the battery is covered for the same period as the motor and controller, since the battery is the most expensive part to replace on any electric scooter.
Only one version of the 007 is listed. Because there is no official price, it is too early to say whether it offers good value. In our opinion, its 72V battery, disc brakes on both wheels and 12-inch wheels make it look like a step up from the Parkour, and it should interest riders who want a quicker scooter for city traffic. Its specifications are identical to the Z-Tron on paper, so the choice between the two will probably come down to styling and price. Wait for the official price and a test ride before deciding.
