The Zongfa CZ 125 is an electric motorcycle styled like a traditional 125cc commuter bike, aimed at riders who want a familiar shape without petrol costs. It has a 2000 W motor and a 72V 50Ah lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery rated IP-65, managed by a 30A controller. ZhongFa EV quotes a top speed of 70 km/h and a range of 120 to 140 km per charge, the second-longest range in the current line-up. Charging takes 4 to 6 hours according to the component list, while the headline figure on the same page says 5 to 6 hours.
Size and practicality
Official dimensions are 2000 mm long, 750 mm wide and 1120 mm high, close to a conventional 125cc motorcycle. It runs on 17-inch wheels with 3.0-17 tyres, which ZhongFa EV says give better grip and stability, and which are better suited to broken roads than small scooter wheels. The bike weighs 56 kg without its battery. The maximum load is listed as 200 kg in the specification table but 150 kg in another section of the same page, so confirm the figure with the dealer. A rear grab rail helps the pillion passenger hold on.
Equipment
Only one version is sold. It has disc brakes at the front and rear, LED lighting, an LED display dashboard, shock absorbers listed as 27-tube units and the rear grab rail. Colours are green, black and maroon. It uses the same 72V 50Ah battery size as the Z6 2000, but trades some top speed for larger wheels and a longer quoted range, which suits riders covering longer daily distances.
Warranty
ZhongFa EV says its bikes are covered by warranty on the motor, battery and controller, but no warranty period is stated for the CZ 125 on the official website. Ask for the duration and battery terms in writing.
Which version to buy
As there is a single version, choose the colour you like. In our opinion, the CZ 125 is the most practical choice in the ZhongFa range for riders switching from a petrol 70cc or 125cc motorcycle, because it keeps the same riding position and large wheels while offering a long quoted range. If you want more speed, the Z6 2000 is 10 km/h faster for a modest premium, and the G8-3000 is the choice for maximum performance. Dealer prices for the CZ 125 have varied, so confirm the current price with your nearest dealer before booking.
