The SP 70 Deluxe has the same mechanical specification Super Power lists for its other 70cc models. The engine is a 78cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke unit with an overhead camshaft and air cooling, a bore and stroke of 47.0 x 41.4 mm and an 8.8:1 compression ratio. Super Power rates it at 7.0 PS at 8,500 rpm, roughly 6.9 hp, and 0.55 kg-m, about 5.4 Nm, of torque at 6,500 rpm. It has a four-speed gearbox, a wet plate clutch and CDI ignition. The claimed fuel economy is 70 km per litre.
The official dimensions are 1,885 x 760 x 990 mm, and the dry weight is 82 kg. That is light enough for most riders to handle comfortably, including those new to motorcycles. The Deluxe sits on a backbone-type frame, carries 10 litres of fuel and is listed with 2.25-17 4PR tyres. As with the other 70cc models, the official ground clearance figure of 35 mm looks wrong, so confirm it at the dealer. With a 10-litre tank and the claimed 70 km per litre, the Deluxe should cover long distances between fill-ups, which matters for riders commuting across a large city every day. Real range will be lower in stop-start traffic or with a pillion.
The Deluxe is sold in one version, in red or black, at Rs 155,000. That is Rs 41,000 more than the SP 70 Dollar, yet the official product page lists identical engine, size and weight figures and gives no equipment list. It does not say whether the Deluxe has a self-starter, alloy wheels or different lighting. Before paying the extra, ask the dealer to show you exactly what the Deluxe adds over the cheaper models.
Super Power does not publish warranty terms on its website. Ask your dealer for the warranty period, what it covers and the free service schedule, and get it in writing. Keep the invoice and service card safe for any future claim.
There is only one version, so pick the colour you like. In our opinion the Deluxe is hard to recommend on paper, because the official information gives no reason for its higher price. It may have styling or equipment that justifies the difference, so see it in person. If it does not have a self-starter, the SP 70 Premium Self Start at Rs 144,000 costs less and confirms an electric starter and alloy rims.
