The Road Prince Wego 150 is powered by a single-cylinder, SOHC, four-stroke engine with forced-air cooling, which Road Prince says complies with Euro-3 rules. The official page quotes 12.0 hp and 11 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. Displacement is not stated on the official page; third-party sites list it as 149cc. A five-speed gearbox and wet multi-plate clutch are fitted, and the Wego has both kick start and electric self-start. Engine oil capacity is 1200 ml.
At 2000 mm long, 760 mm wide and 1040 mm tall, with a 1330 mm wheelbase, the Wego is noticeably longer than Road Prince’s commuter bikes, which should help stability at speed. It weighs 130 kg dry, about 35 kg more than the Shift 125. The 18-litre fuel tank is the largest of any Road Prince motorcycle, which suits longer daily distances and intercity trips. Road Prince does not publish a fuel economy figure, top speed, seat height or ground clearance for this model, so ask a dealer or existing owners for real-world numbers. A longer, heavier bike also takes more effort to push in tight parking, so think about where you will keep it at home and at work.
There is a single version, offered in black, blue, red or white. It has a front disc brake with a rear drum, a 12 V 35 W high and low-beam headlight, LED tail and brake lights and 1.4 W indicators. Self-start and the disc brake are the main upgrades over Road Prince’s smaller bikes. The official page does not mention ABS, a digital speedometer or a fuel gauge.
Road Prince’s site shows no price. The Wego 150 is reported at Rs 414,000 by Gari.pk and PriceOye, while PakWheels lists Rs 410,000. Confirm the exact figure with a dealer. The official warranty page shows only scanned warranty forms, so ask for the warranty period and conditions in writing.
Only one Wego 150 is sold, so the question is whether it is worth the step up from a 125cc commuter. In our opinion it is the most rounded petrol bike in Road Prince’s range: it adds a front disc brake, self-start, a five-speed gearbox and a much larger tank for the extra money. However, at around Rs 4 lakh it competes with 150cc bikes from bigger brands, so compare service coverage, parts prices and resale value in your city before choosing it.
