The Road Prince E-GO is a battery-electric motorcycle with a conventional motorcycle shape. Road Prince lists a brushless (BLDC) 72-volt hub motor rated at 2 hp, run by a 72-volt, 1500 W controller that communicates over a CAN network. Power comes from a 72-volt, 24 Ah lithium-ion battery, linked to the controller by a cable built to the IP65 water-resistance standard. A 72-volt charger is supplied, and Road Prince quotes a charging time of 4 to 5 hours. The official page does not state the range or top speed, which are the two figures most buyers will want.
The E-GO measures 1920 mm long, 790 mm wide and 1190 mm tall, with a 1240 mm wheelbase, so it is close in size to Road Prince’s 70cc petrol bikes. It rides on 17-inch wheels with 2.25-17 front and 2.50-17 rear tyres. Front suspension uses telescopic forks with internal springs and rebound damping; the rear has a swing arm with external-spring shocks, rebound damping and a preload adjuster, which helps when carrying a passenger. Road Prince does not publish weight, seat height or ground clearance. Because the motor sits in the wheel hub, there is no engine oil to change, which should keep routine servicing simpler than on a petrol bike.
There is one version, in black or red. The right-hand switchgear includes a three-position drive-mode switch, the light switch and a lever switch that cuts motor current when braking. The left side has a lever switch to cut current and reduce speed, plus the indicator switch. A digital display shows speed, odometer, trip distance and battery level, and the throttle is electronically controlled.
The official website shows no price. The E-GO is reported at Rs 260,000 by Daily Pakistan, Gari.pk and a PakWheels launch article. Road Prince’s warranty page shows only scanned forms, so ask the dealer for the battery and motor warranty terms in writing; battery cover is the most important protection on any electric bike.
Only one E-GO is sold. In our opinion it suits riders with fixed daily routes who can charge at home overnight, because electric running costs should be well below those of a petrol bike. The biggest gap is that Road Prince does not publish an official range figure, and third-party claims vary widely, so ask for a demonstration on your usual route or speak to existing owners before buying. Also check that your local dealer can service the motor, controller and battery.
