The Premium Special is Ravi’s most expensive petrol motorcycle at Rs 123,500 ex-factory. Ravi’s price list confirms a 100cc single-cylinder, four-stroke engine, the same capacity it quotes for the Premium RX. Ravi does not publish power, torque, gearbox or fuel-economy figures for this model, and we could not find reliable third-party figures, so those details are left out here. If it shares the RX’s engine, as the matching capacity suggests, performance should be similar, but that is our assumption and should be confirmed at the showroom.
Ravi has not published dimensions, weight, fuel tank size or tyre sizes for the Premium Special. Buyers should ask the dealer for these figures, particularly tank size and seat height, before paying. What is clear is that it is a locally built commuter motorcycle aimed at daily city and town riding, positioned at the top of Ravi’s petrol range.
Equipment is where the Premium Special stands apart. It is the only petrol Ravi on the official price list with self start, which Ravi says is powered by a strong starter motor. It also comes with alloy rims and special graphics. For riders who stop and start often in traffic, push-button starting is a real convenience, and alloy rims are easier to clean than spoke wheels. There is one specification only.
Ravi gives the Premium Special a warranty of 10 months or 10,000 km, the same as the rest of its petrol range.
In our opinion, the Premium Special is the Ravi to choose if you want a 100cc bike and value self start. The Rs 7,500 premium over the kick-start Premium RX is reasonable for self start and alloy rims. If you do not mind kick starting, the RX offers the same engine size for less money, and Ravi publishes more information about it. The Premium Special’s main rivals are self-start 100cc to 110cc commuters such as the Honda Pridor, Suzuki GD 110S and United US 100. These are better known and generally easier to resell, so weigh the price difference, dealer support in your area and expected resale value before deciding. Because official details are limited, inspect the bike and ask for its full specification sheet before you book.
