The Polo uses a 500-watt motor and a 6-tube controller, which Hi-Speed calls a large controller module. The claimed top speed is 40 km/h. Charging takes 8 to 10 hours. Hi-Speed does not publish the battery type, voltage, capacity or range for the Polo, so you will need to ask the dealer for these figures, and for written confirmation of what battery is fitted, before you buy. With a small motor and modest speed, this is a scooter for short urban errands rather than daily long commutes.
Hi-Speed fits 3.0-14 tubeless tyres, a larger wheel size than many budget electric scooters, which should help on uneven streets. Braking is by a front disc and a rear drum. The official page does not give dimensions, weight, seat height or ground clearance, so check the size in person, especially if the scooter will be used by a shorter or younger rider.
There is one version. Equipment includes an LED headlight with LED daytime running lights, a key plus remote control for security, and Bluetooth. Hi-Speed does not mention a USB port, reverse mode, cruise control or a side-stand sensor on this model, so assume they are not fitted unless the dealer shows you otherwise.
Hi-Speed gives a 1-year warranty on the motor and 1 year on the battery. That is much shorter than the 18-month motor and 36-month battery cover on Hi-Speed’s LFP scooters, which is worth considering when you compare running costs over several years. Hi-Speed does not publish prices; the October 2026 JS Bank instalment list prices the Polo at Rs 130,000.
The Polo is meant to be charged overnight from a normal socket, and as an electric scooter it needs no petrol, engine oil or tuning. Its biggest future cost will be the battery, so ask the dealer what a replacement costs and what type is fitted, especially as the warranty covers it for only one year.
In our opinion, the Polo suits riders who need a low-cost electric scooter for short trips around a neighbourhood, a campus or a market, and who can charge it overnight. The front disc brake, 14-inch tubeless tyres and LED lighting are good points at this price. However, the missing battery and range information, the long charging time and the 1-year battery warranty are clear weaknesses. If your budget allows, the RMI 300 Neo offers an LFP battery and many more features for about Rs 75,000 more.
