The Hunter uses a 650-watt differential motor from Nanpu with a 12-tube Keya controller. A differential motor drives two rear wheels, which is why we list the Hunter as a trike; PakWheels also gives it a width of 1315 mm, though Hi-Speed’s own table says 750 mm. Top speed is up to 30 km/h and the claimed range is 50 to 60 km. The battery is a 60V 24 Ah lithium iron phosphate pack from Phylion with an integrated battery management system, rated for 1,000 cycles and described as non-flammable. Charging takes up to 8 hours with the 60V 3A charger.
Hi-Speed lists the dimensions as 1590 × 750 × 1090 mm and the ground clearance as 120 mm. It runs on 10-inch aluminium rims with 3.0-10 tubeless tyres and has drum brakes front and rear. It is a two-seater. The low speed and stable layout make it suitable for older riders, people who never learned to balance a motorcycle, or short neighbourhood trips with a passenger.
There is one version. Equipment includes LED headlight and daytime running lights, an LCD digital meter with battery percentage, reverse mode, an anti-theft lock and alarm, two remotes and two NFC cards, a rear-view mirror and a tool kit. There is no USB port, no side-stand sensor and no cruise control. PakWheels lists beige and white colours.
Hi-Speed offers a motor warranty of 18 months or 15,000 km and a battery warranty of 36 months or 40,000 km, the same strong cover as its Ninja and Victor scooters. Hi-Speed does not publish prices; PakWheels lists the Hunter at Rs 289,999.
The Hunter is designed for overnight charging from a normal socket, and as an electric vehicle it needs no petrol or engine oil. The 36-month battery warranty covers the most expensive part for the first three years. In our view, ask the dealer where the nearest service point is, since three-wheel layouts with differential motors are less common.
In our opinion, the Hunter is a good choice for riders who value stability and ease over speed: there is no need to balance at junctions, reverse mode helps with parking, and the LFP battery with a 36-month warranty is reassuring. It is expensive for a 650-watt vehicle with a 30 km/h top speed and drum brakes, though, so it makes sense only if a three-wheel layout really suits you. Compare it with the larger Golf if you often carry a passenger.
