Power comes from a 650-watt differential motor made by Mingzun, managed by a 12-tube Keya controller. Because a differential motor drives two rear wheels, we have listed the Foxy as a trike, although Hi-Speed does not say how many wheels it has. Top speed is up to 30 km/h and the claimed range is 50 to 60 km. The battery is a 60V 24 Ah lithium iron phosphate pack from Phylion with an integrated battery management system and 1,000-cycle rating. Charging takes up to 8 hours on the 60V 3A charger.
Hi-Speed lists the dimensions as 1780 × 690 × 1110 mm and the ground clearance as 120 mm. Tyres are tubeless, 90/90-12 at the front and 80/90-10 at the rear, on 10-inch aluminium rims. Braking is by a front disc and a rear drum, a step up from the drum-braked Hunter and Golf. It is a two-seater, and a rear-view mirror and tool kit are supplied.
There is one version. The Foxy has LED headlight and daytime running lights, an LCD digital meter with battery percentage, reverse mode, an anti-theft lock and alarm, two remotes and two NFC cards. Bluetooth, a USB port, a side-stand sensor and cruise control are not fitted.
Hi-Speed provides 18 months or 15,000 km of motor warranty and 36 months or 40,000 km of battery warranty. Prices are not published on the official site; PakWheels lists the Foxy at Rs 330,000.
The Foxy is designed to be charged overnight from a normal socket, and as an electric vehicle it needs no petrol, engine oil or tuning. Its 36-month or 40,000 km battery warranty covers the most expensive component for the first three years of ownership. In our opinion, ask the dealer where the nearest Hi-Speed service point is and how long differential-motor parts take to arrive, because three-wheel layouts are less common than ordinary scooters and parts may need to be ordered.
In our opinion, the Foxy suits buyers who want a stable, low-speed electric two-seater with a slightly sportier, slimmer body and better front braking than the Hunter. The LFP battery and long battery warranty are big positives. However, at Rs 330,000 it costs more than Hi-Speed’s Victor scooter, which is twice as fast and has more range, so choose the Foxy only if its three-wheel stability is what you need. We recommend confirming the wheel layout and a test ride at the dealer.
