The Benelli TRK 251 shares its engine with the TNT 25: a 249cc single-cylinder, four-stroke unit with four valves, double overhead camshafts, liquid cooling and fuel injection. Benelli quotes 19 kW (about 25.5 hp) at 9,250 rpm and 21.1 Nm at 8,000 rpm, with an 11.2:1 compression ratio. It uses a six-speed gearbox, a wet multi-plate clutch and chain final drive. Starting is electric, and Benelli’s quoted top speed is 129 km/h.
This is an adventure-styled tourer, and its size shows it. The TRK 251 is 2,070 mm long, 840 mm wide and 1,300 mm tall, with a 1,390 mm wheelbase. Seat height is 800 mm, slightly lower than the TNT 25, and ground clearance is 170 mm. Kerb weight is 164 kg and maximum load is 190 kg. The 18-litre fuel tank is the biggest among Benelli’s 250cc models in Pakistan, which suits long trips on motorways and northern-area roads. Benelli does not publish fuel economy for this model.
The TRK 251 uses a steel trellis frame with aluminium alloy wheels, a 110/70 R17 front tyre and a 150/60 R17 rear. Front suspension travel is 135 mm and the rear mono-shock offers 60 mm, more than the TNT 25 on both counts, which should help over rough surfaces. Brakes are a 280 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc; ABS is not mentioned on the official Pakistan page. Colours listed are Metallic White with Red, and Gray.
Benelli’s Pakistan website does not publish warranty terms. Ask the dealer for written details of the warranty, free services and spare parts support before you pay a booking amount.
The TRK 251 comes in one version at Rs 1,600,000 ex-factory. In our view, it makes sense for riders who want an entry-level touring bike for long-distance trips, with a larger tank, more suspension travel and a taller, more upright riding position than Benelli’s naked 250. The drawbacks are its price, which is well above the TNT 25 according to the price list we used, and its modest single-cylinder power for a bike of this size and weight. If most of your riding is in the city, the TNT 25 offers the same engine for less money. If you need more highway power for touring with luggage or a pillion, the twin-cylinder TRK 502 is the next step up.
