The current TNT 25, listed on Benelli’s Pakistan website as the TNT 25 2.0 Sport, uses a 249cc single-cylinder, four-stroke engine with four valves, double overhead camshafts, liquid cooling and fuel injection. Benelli quotes 19 kW (about 25.5 hp) at 9,250 rpm and 21.2 Nm at 8,000 rpm, with an 11.2:1 compression ratio. A six-speed gearbox, wet multi-plate clutch and chain drive complete the drivetrain. Starting is electric and the quoted top speed is 129 km/h.
The bike is 2,040 mm long, 810 mm wide and 1,110 mm tall, with a 1,400 mm wheelbase. The 810 mm seat is manageable for average-height riders and the 180 mm ground clearance is good for Pakistani roads. Kerb weight is 163 kg and maximum load is 190 kg. A 17-litre fuel tank gives this 250cc bike a useful touring range, although Benelli does not publish an official fuel economy figure.
The TNT 25 2.0 Sport is built on a steel trellis frame with aluminium alloy wheels and Metzeler tyres, sized 110/70 R17 at the front and 150/60 R17 at the rear. Both brakes have ABS, with a 280 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc. The rear mono-shock is preload adjustable, with 51 mm of travel, and the front suspension has 120 mm of travel. Benelli’s Pakistan page does not list colour names for this model.
No warranty details are published on Benelli’s Pakistan website. Confirm the warranty period and service schedule with the dealer before booking. In our view, it is also worth asking how quickly ABS-related spare parts can be supplied, as parts for imported bikes can take longer to arrive.
Only one version is listed. Note that the price we found is listed simply as TNT 25, while Benelli’s Pakistan website now shows the updated TNT 25 2.0 Sport with ABS, so check with the dealer that the quoted price applies to the 2.0 Sport. In our opinion, the TNT 25 is the best value in Benelli’s line-up for riders who want a real step up in performance: it adds ABS, a bigger tank and almost 8 hp more than the 180S. Riders who mainly commute in the city may find the 180S or TNT 150i lighter and cheaper to run, while those who tour should also look at the TRK 251, which uses the same engine with more upright, adventure-style ergonomics.
