The Qingqi NE 100 is a 100cc motorcycle rickshaw made in Pakistan by Plum Qingqi Motors Limited. The company says it is the country’s largest three-wheeler manufacturer and that its two- and three-wheelers are designed, developed and manufactured locally. Beyond the 100cc engine size in each variant’s name, the official website gives no engine output, fuel economy or gearbox figures. Its general maintenance advice covers carburettor tuning, spark plug gaps and clutch and gear adjustment. Our reading is that it uses a simple, mechanically serviced powertrain, but this is not a published specification.
No dimensions, seating capacity, fuel tank size or payload figures are published for the NE 100. Seating matters legally in some areas. ARY News reported that Sindh rules limit Qingqi rickshaws to four passengers excluding the driver and require a valid route permit from the regional transport authority. A 2016 Supreme Court order, reported by The Express Tribune, also set rules for hydraulic brakes and wheel sizes. Check the rules where you will operate before you buy.
Qingqi’s passenger rickshaw page shows four NE versions: NE 100cc, NE Special 100cc, CNE 100cc NE Special and NE 100cc Green. The site shows only photos and does not explain how the Special, CNE or Green versions differ from the standard NE. It is not even clear whether Green is a colour or a separate specification. Ask the dealer for an equipment sheet for each version before deciding.
Qingqi says it has a countrywide network of sales, service and spare parts outlets, warranty shops and company-owned customer service centres. The warranty period and conditions are not published. The company advises an 800 km running-in period below 40 km/h. It also says to avoid long spells at a constant speed and to let the engine idle for a few minutes after starting. It recommends checking engine oil and battery electrolyte weekly. Before taking delivery, it suggests a test drive and checks of the brakes, steering, lights, horn and transmission oil. Ask for the warranty booklet and free-service details at delivery.
Our opinion: treat the standard NE 100cc as the baseline. The Special, CNE or Green versions are only worth extra money if the dealer can show in writing exactly what they add. Since Qingqi publishes no price list, compare written quotes from several dealers and check them against rival 100cc rickshaws before committing.
