The Qingqi MP 100 is a 100cc motorcycle rickshaw built by Plum Qingqi Motors Limited, which has made two- and three-wheelers in Pakistan since 1994 and describes itself as the country’s largest three-wheeler manufacturer. The official website does not publish power, torque, fuel economy or gearbox details for the MP 100. Its owner-care pages mention a clutch lever, gear shifting, a carburettor, a spark plug and transmission oil checks. In our reading, that suggests a conventional manual-gear motorcycle drivetrain, but this is not a published specification.
Qingqi has not published dimensions, seating capacity, fuel tank size or tyre sizes for this model. Buyers in Sindh should check local rules first. A 2016 Supreme Court order, as reported by The Express Tribune, required motorcycle rickshaws there to carry no more than four passengers and use an engine of at least 100cc. The order also required them to be factory assembled, with hydraulic brakes and 22-inch front and 16-inch rear wheels. Ask the dealer whether the rickshaw you are buying meets your province’s current seating and route-permit rules.
The company lists two versions on its passenger rickshaw page: the MP 100cc and the CNE MP 100cc. It does not explain what the CNE version adds, and it shows only photographs, with no equipment lists. Compare both side by side at a dealer, looking at the body, seats, brakes and whether a reverse gear is fitted.
Qingqi says it supports its vehicles through a countrywide sales, service and spare parts network, with warranty shops and company-owned customer service centres. It does not publish the length or terms of the warranty. Its care advice sets an 800 km running-in period at no more than 40 km/h. It says the free service should include an oil change, air filter, spark plug and carburettor cleaning, and valve clearance adjustment. Before delivery, the company suggests test-driving the vehicle and checking the brakes, steering, lights, horn and transmission oil level. Get the warranty terms and free-service schedule in writing.
Our opinion: without official prices or equipment lists, neither the MP 100cc nor the CNE MP 100cc is a clear best buy. Choose on the dealer’s written quote, the build quality you see in the showroom and the warranty offered. Because no ex-factory price is published, get quotes from more than one authorised dealer and compare them with rival 100cc rickshaws before paying.
