Engine and gearbox

The NARS 200 Loader is built on New Asia’s rickshaw platform and uses the same 197cc water-cooled engine as its passenger models. Official output is 10.3 kW, about 13.8 hp, at around 7,500 rpm, and the drive passes through a multi-plate wet clutch. The fuel tank is 5 litres. Water cooling is useful for a working loader that spends long hours in traffic and heat. New Asia does not give torque, top speed, payload or fuel economy for this model.

Size and practicality

This is a goods-carrying version of New Asia’s auto rickshaw, listed under Rickshaws rather than with the NACL cargo loaders. The official page does not list load-bed dimensions, payload, overall size or tyre size, so measure the bed and confirm the rated load with the dealer. In our opinion, the small 5-litre tank is a drawback for delivery work across a city, compared with the 18-litre tanks on New Asia’s NACL 150 and NACL 200 loaders.

Equipment by variant

New Asia lists two versions, v1 and V2. The official page does not describe the difference in words, but its gallery images are labelled as a cage body and a flatbed body. A cage body suits loose goods and parcels, while a flatbed suits long or bulky items that are easier to strap down. Ask the dealer to confirm which version is which, because the website does not state it. No feature list or colour names are published.

Warranty

No warranty terms are published on New Asia’s website. Ask the dealer for written cover on the engine, gearbox and chassis, and check whether overloading voids the warranty.

Which variant to buy

Our view: choose by cargo. The cage-body version is the safer pick for shopkeepers moving sacks, crates and parcels, because the sides help keep the load in place. The flatbed version makes more sense for builders, furniture sellers or anyone carrying long items. Before deciding between this loader and the NACL 200, which has the same engine size but a much larger tank, compare the rated payload and bed size in person.
