Engine and gearbox

The NA 7S uses the same 197cc water-cooled engine as New Asia’s smaller passenger rickshaws. It is rated at 10.3 kW, about 13.8 hp, at roughly 7,500 rpm. Power passes through a multi-plate wet clutch, and the fuel tank holds 5 litres. New Asia does not publish torque, top speed, gear ratios or fuel economy for this model. In our opinion, buyers should test the rickshaw fully loaded on a slope, because the same engine is moving a bigger body with more passengers.

Size and practicality

The 7S name and the official 7 Seater Series label show that this is New Asia’s high-capacity passenger rickshaw. It is aimed at operators who want to carry more people per trip than a standard three-seat rickshaw allows. The official page does not say whether the seven seats include the driver, and it does not list length, width, height, wheelbase or tyre size. Before you buy, check the seating layout and how easily passengers get in and out. Also confirm that a larger body is permitted on your route and by your local transport authority.

Equipment by variant

The NA 7S is listed as a single version. New Asia’s page shows a colour selector and a product gallery but no written list of colours or features. Anything beyond the basic rickshaw, such as decoration, music systems or seat upgrades, is likely to be a dealer add-on, so ask for it in writing.

Warranty

No warranty information is published on the official website. Get the warranty terms from the dealer in writing, particularly for the engine and chassis, which work hard in a high-capacity rickshaw.

Which variant to buy

There is one NA 7S, so the real question is whether you need seven seats. Our view: for shared routes, school runs or busy stops where you can fill the extra seats, the 7S can earn more per trip than a three-seater. If you mostly carry one to three passengers, New Asia’s Super or Supreme should be easier to drive in tight streets, with the same official engine output.
