The MINI Countryman is the largest MINI on sale in Pakistan and comes in electric and petrol forms. The Countryman E has a single 150 kW (201 bhp), 250 Nm motor. The Countryman SE ALL4 has two motors with a combined 230 kW (308 bhp) and 494 Nm and ALL4 all-wheel drive. Both electric versions use a 64.6 kWh battery, and MINI quotes a WLTP range of 433–462 km, with 0–100 km/h in 8.6 seconds for the E and 5.6 seconds for the SE ALL4. The petrol Countryman C uses a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo engine with 90 kW (121 bhp) and 230 Nm, a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and 0–100 km/h in 10.5 seconds.
Both electric versions accept up to 130 kW on a CCS DC charger, taking about 29 minutes from 10–80%, and up to 11 kW AC through a Type 2 connector, which takes about 6 hours 15 minutes for a full charge. MINI says the Countryman E uses a heat pump to improve efficiency and quotes consumption of 15.7–17.4 kWh/100 km.
At 4,445 mm long, 1,843 mm wide and 1,635 mm tall with a 2,692 mm wheelbase, the Countryman is a proper family SUV. It seats five, rear legroom is 892 mm, and the boot holds 460 litres, or up to 1,450 litres with the 40:20:40 rear seats folded. MINI quotes 165 mm of ground clearance, which helps over speed breakers and broken roads. Roof rails are standard.
All versions share the 240 mm circular OLED touchscreen, navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the voice assistant and MINI Experience Modes. MINI lists collision warning with brake intervention, lane departure warning, lane change warning and crossing traffic warning as standard, with adaptive cruise control and a head-up display as options. The SE ALL4 adds all-wheel drive and much stronger performance. The Countryman holds a five-star Euro NCAP rating. Confirm Pakistani-spec equipment with Dewan Motors, as the website shares content with another market.
No warranty is published on the official site. PakWheels has reported a 24-month vehicle warranty and an 8-year or 160,000 km battery warranty for the Countryman SE, so confirm the terms with the dealer.
Our opinion: the Countryman E at PKR 24,800,000 is the sensible choice. It is the cheapest version, it costs PKR 600,000 less than the petrol Countryman C, and it avoids fuel bills if you can charge at home. The SE ALL4 is worth the extra PKR 2,100,000 only if you want all-wheel drive or strong acceleration. Choose the petrol C only if charging is not possible for you.
