The MINI Cooper is sold in Pakistan as a three-door hatchback with a choice of electric or petrol power. The Cooper E uses a single electric motor rated at 110 kW (148 bhp) and 290 Nm, fed by a 36.6 kWh battery with an official WLTP range of up to 305 km. The Cooper SE steps up to 160 kW (215 bhp), 330 Nm and a 49.2 kWh battery, and MINI quotes up to 402 km of WLTP range. MINI lists 0–100 km/h in 7.3 seconds for the E and 6.7 seconds for the SE. The petrol Cooper C has a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo engine making 115 kW (154 bhp) and 231 Nm, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and reaches 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds.
On an 11 kW AC wallbox, MINI says a full charge takes about 4 hours 30 minutes for the Cooper E and 5 hours 15 minutes for the SE. On a DC fast charger, 10–80% takes about 28 minutes for the E (up to 75 kW) or 30 minutes for the SE (up to 95 kW).
The electric Cooper is 3,858 mm long with a 2,526 mm wheelbase, and it seats four. Boot space is 210 litres, rising to 800 litres with the 60:40 split rear seats folded. The 10.8 m turning circle suits tight city streets and parking. Rear legroom is limited, so in our opinion this is a car for one or two people with occasional rear passengers.
All versions share the 240 mm circular OLED touchscreen, cloud-based navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a “Hey MINI” voice assistant and selectable driving modes. MINI lists collision warning with brake intervention, lane departure warning, lane change (blind spot) warning, crossing traffic warning and speed limit display as standard. The electric Cooper page also lists Parking Assistant as standard. Adaptive cruise control and a head-up display are described as optional. The fully electric Cooper models hold a five-star Euro NCAP rating. Because the Pakistani website shares content with another market, confirm the exact local equipment with Dewan Motors.
Dewan Motors has not published warranty terms on its MINI website, so ask the dealer for vehicle and battery warranty details before booking.
Our opinion: the Cooper SE is the pick. It costs PKR 1,700,000 more than the Cooper E but adds 50 kW of power and about 100 km of extra quoted range, which makes intercity trips more practical. The Cooper E suits buyers who mostly drive in the city and can charge at home. The petrol Cooper C is the most expensive three-door at PKR 23,600,000 and, in our view, only makes sense if you cannot charge at home.
