The Kia EV9 is a large all-electric SUV sold in Pakistan as a single GT Line variant. It uses a 99.8 kWh lithium-ion battery and dual motors for all-wheel drive, with 282.6 kW and 700 Nm reported at launch, 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds and a WLTP range of 505 km. It supports both 400 V and 800 V charging: a 350 kW DC charger takes it from 10 to 80 percent in about 24 minutes, while AC charging at 220 V/48 A takes 9 hours 45 minutes. Kia Pakistan’s page also lists vehicle-to-load outlets inside and outside the car.
The EV9 is a six-seater with second-row seats that swivel 180 degrees to face the third row. It is reported to have a 3,100 mm wheelbase and 1,980 mm width, rides on 285/45R21 tyres with 21-inch alloys, and adds a 52-litre front trunk (frunk), rated for up to 20 kg, to its rear cargo area. Other practical features include a hands-free smart power tailgate, roof rails, an extendable centre console and rear-seat climate controls with diffused air vents.
The cabin has two 12.3-inch screens plus a 5-inch climate display, a 12-inch head-up display, a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, a fan-cooled wireless charger, heated and ventilated seats and a dual sunroof. Digital side mirrors with 7-inch OLED screens and a 9.6-inch digital centre mirror are fitted, and the door handles sit flush until the key is nearby. A column-type electronic shift lever with an integrated start button frees up the centre console, and haptic touch buttons control many functions. Driving modes include Normal, Eco, Sport, My Drive and a terrain mode for snow, mud and sand. Safety equipment reported for Pakistan includes forward and blind-spot collision avoidance, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, a surround view monitor, rear cross-traffic and parking collision avoidance, trailer stability assist and a rear occupant alert.
The EV9 launched at Rs 43,200,000, and a limited-time cut reported in September 2026 brought the ex-factory price to Rs 38,650,000. Kia Pakistan’s standard warranty is 4 years or 100,000 km; it does not publish a separate battery warranty online.
Our opinion: there is only one version, so the question is whether a Rs 38.65 million electric SUV suits you. It makes most sense for owners with home charging who want a high-tech six-seat family car. Those who travel long distances outside major cities should first check fast-charger availability on their routes.
