The Vlektra 1969 pairs classic looks with the brand’s most powerful drivetrain. Its specification table lists a 3,000 W BLDC motor with 120 Nm of torque and a top speed of 105 km/h, and Vlektra says it reaches 60 km/h from rest in about 4 seconds. The battery is a 72 V 36 Ah lithium iron phosphate (LFP) pack, which Vlektra says is waterproof, dustproof and designed to last up to 15 years. Official range is 150 km per charge, with a charging time of about 3.5 hours using the included 84 V/10 A charger from a normal 220 V wall socket. Vlektra says a battery management system watches over the pack and immobilises the bike if it detects a risk.
The 1969 uses telescopic front forks, dual rear shock absorbers and dual-piston caliper disc brakes front and rear, with a combined braking system (CBS). Tyres are 2.75-18 at the front and 120/80-17 at the rear, a taller front wheel that suits the retro styling. Vlektra says the bike can carry around 200 kg without affecting speed or range. Like other electric bikes, it has no clutch, gearbox, engine oil or filters to service, so routine maintenance should be minimal. The official site does not list dimensions, weight or seat height.
The 1969 is sold in a single variant. Equipment includes an LED headlamp with daytime running light, LED indicators, an LED tail light, a digital meter, three speed modes and a reverse function. Vlektra presents it as a long-range bike for comfortable city riding, and describes its motorcycles as IP67 water-resistant, so riding in the rain should not be a problem.
The 1969 page mentions a 3-year replacement warranty on the battery. Vlektra’s other models also carry a 2-year motor replacement warranty, but the 1969 page does not state this, so confirm it at the time of purchase.
At Rs 619,000 the 1969 is the most expensive Vlektra and is not currently discounted. It costs Rs 70,000 more than the discounted standard Bolt, which has the same motor power, top speed and quoted range on paper. In our opinion, the 1969 makes sense for buyers who value its classic design and comfortable upright stance; riders who just want maximum performance per rupee will find the Bolt better value. Note that parts of the official page also show lower figures (75 km/h, around 80 to 100 km of range), so ask for the confirmed specification before you pay.
