Revoo A09

Battery and motor

The A09 pairs a 500W motor with a 48V 26Ah graphene battery. Revoo quotes 25 to 35 km/h and 65 to 80 km on one charge. Charging takes 6 to 9 hours and uses about 1.25 units of electricity for a full battery. A 6-tube vector controller runs the motor, and Revoo describes a soft start, a single-gear 30 km/h limit and a reverse function that moves the scooter backwards at a constant 5 km/h, which helps when parking in tight spaces.

Size and practicality

The A09 weighs 85 kg and has 155 mm of ground clearance. Revoo lists a 735 mm seat height, low enough for most riders to put both feet flat on the ground, which is the main reason it is pitched at new riders. Storage is good for the price: a front basket plus an 18-litre under-seat bucket. It also has an extra-large passenger seat and a headlight that turns with the handlebar.

It runs on 60/100-10 vacuum (tubeless) tyres with hydraulic suspension at both ends. Braking is by front and rear roller drum brakes, which Revoo says cut stopping distance by 40 percent; it does not say compared with what.

Equipment by variant

There is a single A09 version at Rs 145,000. It includes reverse assist, a child lock, a P-mode hold function, a front basket and under-seat storage. Revoo does not mention disc brakes, LED lights or a digital display on the model page.

Charging and running costs

Revoo publishes how many units of electricity each battery takes to charge fully. Using the example rate of Rs 30 per unit that Revoo uses on its Pakistan website, the A09 uses about 1.25 units, roughly Rs 38 per full charge or about Rs 0.47 per km at its claimed maximum range. Revoo notes that real costs depend on local tariffs and riding habits.

The graphene battery is not removable, so the A09 needs to be parked near a socket for its 6 to 9 hour charge. Most owners will simply plug it in overnight at home.

Warranty

The battery is covered for 18 months and the motor for 24 months.

Which variant to buy

Our opinion: with one version available, the A09 makes most sense for first-time riders who value a low seat, reverse gear and storage over speed. It doubles the A04’s range for Rs 45,000 more and adds hydraulic suspension and a longer battery warranty, which we think is worth paying for. Riders who want to keep up with city traffic at 40 km/h or more should look at the A11 or A12 instead.
