Every A12 uses a 1000W motor and a 12-tube vector controller, with a top speed of 35 to 45 km/h. The standard and rear-box versions have a 72V 26Ah graphene battery rated for 70 to 90 km; it takes 6 to 9 hours to charge and uses about 1.87 units per full charge. The A12 LFP has a 73.6V 30Ah lithium iron phosphate battery rated for 80 to 100 km, charges in 3 to 3.5 hours and uses about 2.21 units.
The A12 is bigger than the A11, with a 640 mm seat and 33 litres of under-seat storage, and Revoo pitches it at families as well as at women riders. Weight depends on the battery: 80 kg for the LFP and 110 kg for the graphene versions, a 30 kg difference you will feel when pushing or parking. Ground clearance is 150 mm.
It rides on 3.0-10 vacuum (tubeless) tyres with hydraulic suspension front and rear. Braking is better than on the A11, with a disc at the front and a drum at the rear.
All versions share the long seat, 33-litre storage, front disc brake and a state-of-charge (battery percentage) display. The Rs 185,000 version adds a rear luggage box. The A12 LFP changes the battery, which brings longer range, faster charging, lower weight and a longer battery warranty.
Revoo publishes how many units of electricity each battery takes to charge fully. Using the example rate of Rs 30 per unit that Revoo uses on its Pakistan website, the A12 (graphene) uses about 1.87 units, roughly Rs 56 per full charge or about Rs 0.62 per km at its claimed maximum range; the A12 (graphene) with rear box uses about 1.87 units, roughly Rs 56 per full charge or about Rs 0.62 per km at its claimed maximum range; the A12 LFP uses about 2.21 units, roughly Rs 66 per full charge or about Rs 0.66 per km at its claimed maximum range. Revoo notes that real costs depend on local tariffs and riding habits.
For a family that rides every day, the faster charging of the LFP version also means less planning around power cuts, because a few hours of electricity are enough for a full charge instead of a whole night.
The LFP battery is covered for 36 months and the graphene battery for 24 months. The motor has a 24-month warranty on all versions.
Our opinion: for daily family use, the A12 LFP is the version we would choose. It costs Rs 59,000 more than the base A12, but it is 30 kg lighter, charges in half the time and adds up to 10 km of range and an extra year of battery cover. Buyers on a tighter budget who charge overnight will find the base A12 good value, and the Rs 5,000 rear box is worth adding if you carry groceries or a bag every day.
