Revoo A04

Battery and motor

The A04 uses a 350W motor fed by a 48V 12Ah graphene battery. Revoo quotes a top speed of up to 30 km/h and a range of up to 40 km on one charge. A full charge takes 6 to 9 hours from a normal socket and uses about 0.58 units of electricity, so a full battery costs very little at Pakistani tariffs. A 6-tube vector controller manages the motor, and an intelligent 30 km/h limit with a single-gear setup keeps the ride simple.

Size and practicality

This is the lightest A-series model at 52 kg, which makes it easy to push, park and turn in tight streets. Ground clearance is 135 mm, so riders should take speed breakers slowly. It rolls on 60/100-10 vacuum (tubeless) tyres with drum brakes at both ends and mechanical suspension front and rear. Revoo highlights a large front basket for shopping bags and an extra-large 340 mm passenger seat, plus a P-mode hold function that stops the scooter moving off by accident when parked.

Revoo does not publish the overall length, width, height or seat height for the A04.

Equipment by variant

There is one version of the A04 at Rs 100,000. Equipment is basic by design: front basket, P-mode hold, speed limiter and tubeless tyres. There are no disc brakes, and Revoo does not list a digital display, USB port or LED lighting on the model page, so check these at the showroom.

Charging and running costs

Revoo publishes how many units of electricity each battery takes to charge fully. Using the example rate of Rs 30 per unit that Revoo uses on its Pakistan website, the A04 uses about 0.58 units, roughly Rs 17 per full charge or about Rs 0.43 per km at its claimed maximum range. Revoo notes that real costs depend on local tariffs and riding habits.

Because the A04 is so light and slow, it is best kept to quiet neighbourhood roads rather than busy main roads or highways. The small battery also means that charging every day or two will be normal for most riders.

Warranty

Revoo gives 12 months of warranty on the A04’s battery and 24 months on the motor. Note that the battery cover is shorter than on most other Revoo models, which get 18 to 36 months.

Which variant to buy

Our opinion: with only one version, the real question is whether the A04 is enough for you. It suits students, older riders or anyone covering short daily distances at low speed who wants the lowest purchase price. If your daily ride is longer than about 30 km or includes main roads, we think the A09 or A11 is worth the extra money for its bigger battery, higher speed and longer battery warranty.
