Unlike most of Metro’s range, the T9 Pro uses a single-rating TTFAR hub motor of 1,200 watts, with Eco and Sport modes. Metro quotes a top speed of up to 50 km/h. The battery is a 72V 38Ah TTFAR graphene (Nano Carbon Fiber) pack, and Metro claims up to 140 km per charge, the longest claimed range of any Metro with this battery type. Charging takes 6 to 7 hours and uses about 3 units of electricity, and the battery is rated for up to 1,000 cycles. In our opinion, the modest motor paired with a large battery explains the long claimed range.
The T9 Pro measures 1,870 mm long, 730 mm wide and 1,070 mm tall, with 145 mm of ground clearance and a 160 kg load capacity. It rides on tubeless tyres sized 90/90-12 at the front and 100/80-12 at the rear on aluminium alloy rims, the same sizes as the E8S Mountain Climber. The 12-inch wheels should, in our view, give it a steadier ride than Metro’s 10-inch-wheel scooters on poor roads.
There is a single version. Equipment includes front and rear disc brakes, aluminium alloy rims, an energy-retrieving controller, an energy monitoring meter, a side-stand sensor and an anti-theft alarm. Metro does not list reverse drive, cruise control or NFC for this model, which many cheaper Metro scooters now have. Colours are Silver and Red.
Metro quotes about 3 units of electricity per full charge. At the Rs 30 per unit rate used as the default in Metro’s own savings calculator, that works out to roughly Rs 90 per full charge (our estimate). Actual cost depends on your tariff slab and charging habits, and peak-hour or commercial rates will be higher.
The motor and battery warranty is 18 months, shorter than the 24 months Metro gives on most of its other scooters.
Our view: the T9 Pro’s selling point is range. If you ride long distances every day at city speeds and want 12-inch wheels with disc brakes at both ends, it does the job. However, it is hard to recommend over the Metrix NCF, which is cheaper at Rs 229,000 on offer, faster, better equipped and has a longer warranty, though it claims less range at 115 km. The T9 Pro’s Rs 245,000 price is itself an offer; Metro’s regular price is Rs 265,000, with the offer listed as ending on 10 November 2026.
