The Premium Plus uses the same powertrain as the Metro Premium: an 800-watt brushless DC motor and a 76.8V 30Ah lithium iron phosphate battery. Metro quotes a top speed of up to 35 km/h and a claimed range of up to 100 km. Charging takes 4 to 5 hours and uses about 2.5 units of electricity, and the battery is rated for up to 1,100 cycles. The product page mentions Eco, Normal and Sport modes.
The big difference is the body. The Premium Plus measures 1,790 mm long, 900 mm wide and 1,640 mm tall, compared with 1,615 × 710 × 1,130 mm for the Premium, so it is much wider and about half a metre taller. Ground clearance is 120 mm and load capacity is 160 kg. It uses 3.00-10 6-ply tubeless tyres on aluminium alloy rims. Metro’s page does not describe the seating, but PakWheels’ coverage of its unveiling at the Pakistan Auto Parts Show 2025 described a canopy roof, a two-person bench and a small child seat at the front, with open sides. In our opinion, this makes it a small-family runabout for short local trips rather than a commuter.
There is one version. Equipment includes a front disc and rear drum brake, a reverse drive option, NFC, remote control, an anti-theft alarm and an energy monitoring meter. Colours are Silver and Beige.
Metro quotes about 2.5 units of electricity per full charge. At the Rs 30 per unit rate used as the default in Metro’s own savings calculator, that works out to roughly Rs 75 per full charge (our estimate). Actual cost depends on your tariff slab and charging habits, and peak-hour or commercial rates will be higher.
Metro gives a 24-month warranty on the motor and battery.
Our view: the Premium Plus is the most unusual vehicle in Metro’s line-up. Its low speed, open sides and 120 mm ground clearance mean it is best kept to quiet streets, markets and short school runs within a neighbourhood. For those uses, the canopy and extra seating could be genuinely useful, especially for families who would otherwise squeeze onto a scooter. Anyone who needs to travel on main roads should look at a conventional scooter instead. At Rs 335,000 it is also Rs 40,000 more than the Premium, so decide first whether you need the larger body. Metro’s website also offers test-ride booking, which we would strongly recommend for a vehicle this unusual.
