The JE-125L is the most powerful motorcycle in Jolta’s current line-up. It uses a 2000 watt electric motor and a 60V 50Ah lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. Jolta quotes a top speed of 80 km/h and a range of 100 to 120 km per charge, and says both figures can change with rider weight, road conditions and riding style. That top speed is 20 km/h higher than Jolta’s 1500W bikes, which makes the JE-125L the only Jolta motorcycle quoted as faster than 60 km/h. Jolta’s page for this model does not publish a charging time, so ask the dealer before you buy.
Jolta has not published dimensions, weight, seat height or ground clearance for the JE-125L, so its size cannot yet be compared with petrol 125cc bikes. What the official page does confirm is a set of features that help in daily use: cruise control for long straight roads, and a reverse gear that makes it easier to back the bike out of a tight parking spot. A digital speedometer shows your ride information. NFC is also listed as a smart feature; the page does not explain exactly what it controls, so check this at the showroom.
There is a single variant, sold with alloy rims and front and rear disc brakes. The full equipment list on the official page is alloy rims, front and rear disc brakes, NFC, a digital speedometer, cruise control and reverse gear. Unlike the BOLT and APEX, there is no cheaper spoke-wheel, drum-brake version of the JE-125L. The bike is also not listed in Jolta’s online shop at the moment, so buying is done through a dealer or Jolta’s WhatsApp enquiry line.
The JE-125L page does not state a warranty period. Jolta’s other LFP-battery motorcycles, the BOLT and APEX, carry 24 months, but you should get the JE-125L warranty terms in writing from the dealer before paying.
With only one version on sale, the real choice is whether the JE-125L is worth the extra money over the JE-70L SE BOLT alloy edition at Rs 294,900. Both have a 60V 50Ah LFP battery, alloy rims and disc brakes. Our opinion: the JE-125L makes sense if you ride on faster roads where 60 km/h feels slow, because its 2000W motor and 80 km/h top speed are its main advantages. If your riding is mostly inside the city, the BOLT gives a similar claimed range for Rs 35,000 less.
