This older version of the Spark uses a 600W brushless motor and a 48V 30Ah graphene battery rather than the lithium LFP pack in the newer Spark. Crown quotes a top speed of 35-40 km/h, a range of 35-40 km per charge and a charging time of 5 to 6 hours with the 48V 4A charger. There is no fast charging; it charges from a standard home socket. Four speed modes are available, the claimed climbing angle is up to 15 degrees, and Crown’s FAQ says it has regenerative braking to save energy when slowing down.
This is one of the few Crown models with full published dimensions: 1650 x 640 x 1050 mm, with a 1190 mm wheelbase and 130 mm of ground clearance. It weighs 68 kg and has a rated load capacity of 150 kg. The tyre size is listed as 60.100-12 front and rear. A generously sized utility compartment can hold a helmet or groceries, and Crown lists a backup pedal function for moving the scooter. The official page suggests it is useful for errands and light delivery work.
There is one version, with a front disc brake and a rear drum brake, an LED headlight, LED tail lights and indicators, four speed modes and the storage compartment. Crown’s FAQ says a digital meter and a USB port are included on some variants, so confirm these with the dealer. It is offered in grey, blue and red.
Because it uses a graphene battery, the warranty is shorter than on Crown’s LFP models: 18 months or 18,000 km for the battery, 36 months or 36,000 km for the motor and controller, and 12 months or 12,000 km for body parts.
Charging is from a standard home socket only, and at 5 to 6 hours it is best done overnight. Crown says spare parts for its models are supplied through authorised dealerships, which helps with long-term ownership. As with Crown’s other electric bikes, registration is required before the scooter is used on public roads.
In our opinion, the Spark Graphene only makes sense for buyers on a tight budget who ride short distances at low speed. At the same Rs 145,000 price, Crown’s Rizz offers a lithium LFP battery with a 4-year warranty, a longer claimed range of 50-70 km and a much shorter 3 to 4 hour charge, along with NFC unlock and an alarm. The Spark Graphene’s advantages are its larger storage compartment and higher 150 kg load rating. This model is not shown in Crown’s main model menu, so check availability with your dealer before planning a purchase.
