The Markhor uses a 3000W brushless motor and a 72V 40Ah lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. Crown quotes a top speed of 90-100 km/h, the highest in its line-up, and a range of 90-100 km under standard conditions. Charging takes 4 to 5 hours from a 220V socket with the 72V 8A charger. The specification table lists three speed modes, while the FAQ adds regenerative braking and a reverse function. Crown says the LFP battery is rated for more than 3,000 charge cycles.
This is a large, heavy machine: Crown gives a net weight of 164 kg and a load capacity of 200 kg. The FAQ describes a motorcycle-style frame, telescopic suspension, wide seating for long-distance comfort and alloy wheels, and says IP-rated electrical components make it safe to use in light rain. Crown has not published dimensions or tyre sizes on the official page.
The Markhor comes in one version. It has a front and rear combined braking system (CBS), with the FAQ describing disc brakes at both ends, angular LED headlights, sharp LED tail lights, a digital display showing speed, battery level and ride data, and a remote alarm system. Five colours are offered: red, white, blue, silver and black.
Crown’s standard LFP warranty applies: 4 years or 48,000 km on the battery, 3 years or 36,000 km on the motor and controller on a repairable basis, and 1 year or 12,000 km on body parts. Importantly, the Markhor is available on booking only: Crown requires 100% payment in advance directly to the company, with a tentative waiting time of two months. As a high-speed model, it must be registered and ridden with a licence.
Charging uses an ordinary 220V socket, so the Markhor does not need any special charging equipment despite its larger motor. Because it is sold directly by Crown on booking, buyers should keep written confirmation of the payment, colour and expected delivery date, and confirm how warranty service will be handled at their nearest Crown dealer.
In our opinion, the Markhor is for riders who regularly use main roads and fast lanes and want petrol-motorcycle speeds from an electric scooter. Its range is shorter than the Raftaar Pro’s and its weight is much higher, and the Raftaar Pro is Rs 35,000 cheaper and available from dealers without full advance payment. Buyers who still prefer the Markhor’s top speed and styling should be comfortable with the booking terms and the two-month wait before committing.
