The Magic is powered by a 450W brushless motor and a 48V 23Ah graphene battery. Crown quotes a top speed of 30-35 km/h and a range of 30-35 km, which makes it a short-distance vehicle. The specification table gives a charging time of 6 to 8 hours with a 48V 1.8A or 48V 3A charger, while the FAQ says about 4 to 5 hours. There are three speed modes and a claimed climbing angle of up to 15 degrees. A manual pedal backup helps keep you moving if the battery runs low.
The Magic measures 1470 x 660 x 1060 mm, with a 1055 mm wheelbase and 170 mm ground clearance, and weighs 63 kg. Its maximum load is 98 kg. It rides on 14 x 2.5 tyres described as multi-surface grip tyres, with drum brakes front and rear. A lightweight aluminium front basket, a wide cushioned seat and a supportive rear backrest add practicality and comfort. Crown says it is easy to park in tight spaces.
There is one version. It has a smart digital dashboard showing speed and battery level, LED lights with rear brake lights, three speed modes and the front basket. Reverse is not available. The Magic stands apart from the similar Mini Scooty mainly through its styling and decals, and it is offered in red, blue, black, silver and pink. Unlike the Mini Scooty, its specification table does not list a remote alarm.
The graphene battery is covered for 18 months or 18,000 km, the motor and controller for 36 months or 36,000 km, and body parts for 12 months or 12,000 km.
Charging uses an ordinary home socket, and the small battery keeps running costs very low. Crown says the Magic is water-resistant but advises against riding in heavy rain or through flooded streets. Parents should check local rules on age, licences and helmets before a teenager rides it on public roads.
Crown positions the Magic for teenagers above 14 years old and light local commuting, and says a licence is usually not needed, although buyers should confirm local rules. In our opinion, it is a fun, colourful option for short neighbourhood and campus rides, especially for younger riders who like its look and pink colour choice. It shares its motor, battery, price and dimensions with the Mini Scooty, so choose between them on styling and the alarm. For any regular commuting, the lithium-battery Rizz is worth the extra money. The Magic is not shown in Crown’s main model menu.
