The Fairy is powered by a 1000-1500W brushless motor and a 73.6V 30Ah (2.2kWh) lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. Crown quotes a top speed of 50-55 km/h and a range of 60-70 km in eco mode. A full charge takes 3 to 4 hours, and the official specification lists a 72V 10A or 72V 8A charger. There are four speed modes, and Crown’s FAQ says the Fairy also has regenerative braking and a reverse function to help when parking.
At a net weight of 70 kg, the Fairy is one of the lighter scooters in Crown’s line-up, and it carries a rated load of up to 150 kg. It rides on 3.00-10 tyres front and rear. For storage there is a large under-seat compartment as well as a rear top box for everyday items, and Crown says baskets and other accessories are available from its dealers. The seat is described as wide and cushioned for both rider and passenger, and a sturdy side stand is fitted. Crown markets it as compact and easy to handle, and specifically suitable for women and teenage riders.
There is a single version. It comes with a front and rear combined braking system (CBS), NFC unlock using a card or device, and a smart meter that shows speed, battery level and range. Six colours are listed: red, white, blue, grey, black and pink. One section of the official page is headed front and rear disc brakes, but its text and the specification table describe CBS with a rear drum, so we list CBS only.
Coverage follows Crown’s standard LFP terms: the battery for 4 years or 48,000 km, the motor and controller for 3 years or 36,000 km on a repairable basis, and body parts for 1 year or 12,000 km, whichever comes first. Like all Crown electric bikes, the Fairy must be registered, and bank installment plans are available.
In our opinion, the Fairy is best for short urban trips, school and college runs, and riders who want something light and easy to manoeuvre in traffic. Its 60-70 km claimed range should be enough for most daily errands, and the quick 3 to 4 hour charge is convenient. Riders who need more speed or range for longer commutes should look at the Firefly, which costs Rs 15,000 more and claims up to 90 km, or the Champion. There is only one version of the Fairy to choose.
