The Ezee uses an 800-1200W multi-mode brushless motor and a 73.6V 30Ah (2.2kWh) lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. Crown quotes a top speed of 28-32 km/h and a range of 50-70 km in eco mode. A full charge takes 4 to 5 hours with the supplied 72V 10A charger. There are three speed modes, and Crown says the motor has enough torque for typical inclined urban roads.
As a three-wheeler, the Ezee is designed for stability rather than speed, which makes it easier to balance at low speeds and when stopped. It has a net weight of 80 kg and can carry up to 150 kg, comfortably supporting a rider and some extra weight. It rides on 3.00-10 tyres. A rear storage box carries everyday items, and the seat is ergonomically designed with adjustable armrests. A dedicated reverse mode makes it easy to back out of parking spots and narrow streets without pushing.
There is one version, with a front disc brake and a rear drum brake, NFC card keyless unlock, the reverse mode, integrated LED lights, the rear box and adjustable armrests. Crown also mentions low running costs and suitability for commercial use. It is offered in pink, grey, red and black.
Crown’s standard LFP terms apply: 4 years or 48,000 km on the battery, 3 years or 36,000 km on the motor and controller on a repairable basis, and 1 year or 12,000 km on body parts, whichever comes first.
The Ezee charges from a standard home socket in 4 to 5 hours, so it can be charged overnight. Crown says it has low running costs and zero emissions and is suitable for daily commuting and commercial use. Crown sells it through its dealers and lists it among its 3-wheeler models, with bank installment plans available. Registration is required, as for all of Crown’s electric vehicles, and its dealers help buyers with the paperwork.
In our opinion, the Ezee suits riders who want electric mobility but are not comfortable balancing a two-wheeler, such as older riders or those with limited riding experience, along with people making short local trips with some shopping. Its low top speed means it belongs on quiet neighbourhood roads rather than busy main roads. If you need more carrying space, the larger Ezee XL adds a front basket, rear carrier and a bigger battery, but costs Rs 116,000 more and drops NFC unlock. Both are listed under Crown’s 3-wheeler range.
