Belarus 90 overview and our opinion

Engine and gearbox

The Belarus 90 is the most powerful and best-documented model on Fecto Belarus Tractors’ website. Its 4.75-litre D-243.1 diesel engine is rated by Fecto at 90 hp at 2,200 rpm, with 305 Nm of torque. A dry single-disc clutch connects it to a gearbox with 18 forward and 4 reverse gears. That gives speeds from 1.94 to 34.34 km/h. Such a wide spread of ratios helps with slow jobs such as rotavating and with faster trolley haulage on the road. The fuel tank holds 130 litres, the same as the smaller Belarus models.

Size and practicality

Fecto lists the 90 at 4,120 mm long, 1,970 mm wide and 2,780 mm high. Its weight is 3,460 to 3,690 kg depending on equipment. Ground clearance is a generous 645 mm, and the turning radius is 3.8 to 4.5 m. Front tyres are 9.0-20 or 11.2-20 and rear tyres are 15.5R38. The hydraulic system lifts up to 3,200 kg, works at 20 MPa and uses a 45 litre-per-minute pump. The PTO runs at 540 or 1,000 rpm, so the 90 can drive both standard and high-speed implements such as larger rotavators and threshers.

Equipment by variant

Fecto lists only one version of the Belarus 90 and does not publish an equipment list. The official page also does not say whether this model is two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, or whether it comes with a cab or an open canopy. Steering and brake types are not stated either. Ask the dealer to confirm all of these points in writing before you book, because they make a big difference to comfort and to how the tractor copes with wet fields.

Price and warranty

Fecto does not publish a price or warranty terms for the Belarus 90, and we found no reliable price on other websites, so no figure is shown here. Ask for a written quotation with the ex-factory price, delivery time, warranty cover and the cost of common service parts.

Which variant to buy

Our opinion: on paper the Belarus 90 is a serious 90 hp tractor. It has 18 forward gears, a 3,200 kg lift, two PTO speeds and tall 38-inch rear tyres, which makes it worth considering for large farms, contractors and buyers who pull heavy implements or loaded trolleys every day. The missing price is the big unknown. Before deciding, compare the dealer’s quotation with locally made rivals: the Millat MT 390 2WD is listed at Rs. 4,896,300 and the Buraq B-4100 2WD at Rs. 4,251,000. Then decide whether the Belarus specification is worth any extra cost.
