Engine and drivetrain

Unlike Road Prince’s three-wheel loaders, the ATV Loader has four wheels and a water-cooled 200cc engine from Chinese maker Zongshen. Road Prince describes the drivetrain as part-time four-wheel drive with a sub-speed change, which points to a selectable 4×4 system with a range gearbox, but it does not list the number of gears, power or torque. PakWheels noted at launch that the water-cooled engine was an upgrade over the air-cooled 150cc and 200cc engines in older three-wheel loaders.

Size and practicality

Road Prince rates the ATV Loader to carry 1,000 to 1,200 kg. The official page gives the rear box as 1.8 x 1.3 metres with 330 mm side doors, and separately describes a corrugated carriage 1.8 metres long and 1.4 metres wide, so confirm the exact bed size at the dealer. It rides on 12-inch off-road tyres, 25×8-12 at the front and 25×10-12 at the rear, with a hydraulic disc front brake and drum rear brake. The chassis uses 40 x 60 x 2 mm steel sections. PakWheels also pointed out that, unlike most three-wheel loaders, the ATV has a full windshield and side mirrors.

Equipment

The ATV comes better equipped than Road Prince’s three-wheelers. The official list includes a digital meter, an easy-steer column, a canopy, a toolbox, a shelf, a tube bumper, a balance bar on the rear box and a tow fitting. It is offered in Blue and Red.

Registration, warranty and price

PakWheels reported in 2024 that Road Prince markets this vehicle as an off-road ATV, which places it outside normal four-wheeler registration, even though it is clearly aimed at city cargo work. Check with your provincial excise office whether you can register it and use it legally on public roads. The launch price was Rs 830,000 for full payment, but Road Prince’s website now shows Rs 0 and its warranty page has no readable terms, so get a current written quote and warranty from a dealer.

Should you buy one?

Our opinion: the ATV Loader is the most capable and best equipped Road Prince loader, and four-wheel drive is a real advantage on farm tracks, building sites and flooded streets. The unclear registration position is the main reason for caution, so settle that question before you pay. It also needs more road space than a three-wheeler, so check it fits the lanes and loading bays you use, and ask the dealer for the gearbox details and a test drive with a load on board.
