Road Prince lists a 198cc four-stroke, single-cylinder OHV engine with an 8.5:1 compression ratio for both versions, paired with a 5-speed gearbox that has five forward gears and one reverse. Drive goes through a differential and propeller shaft, and both kick and self start are listed. The engine is described as air-cooled, yet a radiator also appears in the feature list. Claimed fuel economy is 20 km/l. These figures are identical to the RP Auto Loader 200cc page, which suggests the 6 Seater shares that model’s auto-rickshaw chassis, but it also means the data may simply have been copied, so confirm them with a dealer.
As the name says, both versions are built to carry six passengers. The official pages do not give overall length, width or height, and instead repeat the auto loader’s cargo box size and 200 kg loading capacity, which are not meaningful for a passenger body. What is listed is a 6.5-litre fuel tank, 135-10 wheels of the type used on auto rickshaws, a 12V 25Ah battery, front shock absorbers and a leaf spring with shock absorbers at the rear. No ground clearance or turning circle is published either. A small tank means frequent refuelling on long shifts.
Both versions list the same equipment: a roof, a radiator, kick and self start, reverse gear, a mechanical drum front brake and a rear brake listed as hydraulic with a mechanical disc. The School Van is aimed at school runs, but its official page lists no extra safety equipment over the Passenger version, so check exactly how the body, doors and seating differ before choosing. Both come in Yellow Golden.
Road Prince’s website shows Rs 0 for both versions, and its warranty page has no readable text. Get the current price, the warranty card and the seating layout in writing from an authorised dealer.
Our opinion: buy the standard 6 Seater Passenger if you plan to run a shared route carrying adults, and the School Van only if you will mainly carry children on fixed school runs and the dealer can show what extra protection its body adds. Because the official specifications look copied from a cargo model, inspect a unit in person before booking either version. Also ask whether the roof is a full cabin or an open canopy, and whether side curtains or doors are fitted, because these matter in winter and during the monsoon.
