The XPeng G6 is a five-seat electric coupe SUV built on an 800V platform. Pakistan gets three versions. The Standard Range RWD has a 68.5 kWh battery and a 185 kW, 440 Nm rear motor, with a claimed 480 km WLTP range. The Long Range RWD has an 80.8 kWh battery and a 218 kW, 440 Nm motor for up to 535 km WLTP. The Performance AWD adds a front motor for a combined 358 kW and 660 Nm and reaches 100 km/h in a claimed 4.13 seconds, with a 510 km WLTP range on 20-inch wheels.
XPeng quotes a peak DC charging power of 451 kW and a 10–80% charge in 12 minutes for the Long Range, provided the charger can deliver that much power. Home charging is through an 11 kW onboard AC charger. Very few public chargers in Pakistan can supply this level of power, so real-world fast-charging times will usually be longer.
The G6 is 4,758 mm long, 1,920 mm wide and 1,650 mm tall, with a 2,890 mm wheelbase. The boot holds 571 litres and grows to 1,374 litres with the rear seats folded. The RWD versions use 18-inch wheels with 235/60 R18 tyres, while the Performance AWD gets 20-inch wheels with 255/45 R20 tyres.
All versions get a 15.6-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, an 18-speaker sound system, a panoramic glass roof, a power tailgate, a 360-degree camera, automated parking, and a collision-prevention package that includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring and lane keeping. PakWheels lists seven airbags. The Long Range and Performance add Nappa leather, front-seat massage, a microfibre headliner and XPeng’s adaptive cruise and lane-centring functions, which the Standard Range does not have. Only the Performance can be ordered as a Black Edition with smoked wheels and black trim.
PakWheels lists an 8-year or 160,000 km battery warranty. The official site does not publish full warranty terms, so confirm the vehicle warranty with the dealer.
Our opinion: the Long Range RWD is the best balance. For Rs 1,000,000 more than the Standard Range it gives the longest range in the line-up, more power, Nappa leather, massage seats and adaptive cruise control. The Performance AWD is very quick, but it costs Rs 3,000,000 more than the Long Range and has slightly less range. The Standard Range suits buyers who mainly drive in the city and want the lowest price.
