Toyota Pakistan sells the latest LC250 Prado in three versions. There is a 2.8-litre diesel with seven seats, and a 2.7-litre petrol offered with either seven or five seats. Toyota’s Pakistani page does not quote power, torque or gearbox details in its text; these are in a separate specification sheet and brochure. The diesel is the most expensive version, costing Rs 5,000,000 more than the petrol seven-seater.
The choice between five and seven seats is the main practical decision. The seven-seat versions suit larger families, while the five-seater is the cheapest way into a Prado. Toyota does not list dimensions, ground clearance or boot space on the page, and only the gallery mentions headlights with LED fog lamps.
Toyota’s Prado page gives very little equipment detail in text form. Buyers should ask a dealer for the full specification sheet for the version they are considering, especially to compare the five and seven-seat petrol models, which differ by Rs 2,000,000. Because the official page does not list the differences between the diesel and petrol versions in text, compare their brochures carefully before choosing.
The Prado is imported as a completely built-up vehicle, which makes it very sensitive to taxes. In July 2026, Toyota raised Prado prices by Rs 3.5 million to Rs 6.5 million, passing on the Special Excise Duty introduced in the 2026-27 federal budget. PakWheels reported that this duty is 86% on imported cars between 2,000 cc and 3,000 cc. Toyota’s prices for imported models include 25% sales tax but exclude withholding tax.
To book an imported Toyota, the buyer’s guide asks for 25% of the prevailing price or Rs 1,000,000, whichever is higher. For a Prado, that means a booking payment of more than Rs 15 million.
Toyota Pakistan says all its locally assembled and imported vehicles carry a warranty of 3 years or 100,000 km, whichever comes first, which is an advantage over grey imports bought from independent dealers. Booking, delivery and warranty activation are handled through Toyota’s authorised dealerships across Pakistan.
In our opinion, the 2.7 petrol seven-seater is the most sensible choice for most families, because it offers the extra seats for Rs 5,000,000 less than the diesel. The diesel makes more sense for buyers who regularly drive long distances, tow or travel in mountain areas. The five-seater is worth considering only if you never need the third row.
