Pakistan launch status

The Geely EX5 is one of three models that Bestway Automotive, Geely’s authorised distributor, plans to bring to Pakistan as a fully imported (CBU) car. Bestway expects to open bookings before the end of 2026, but it has not yet announced the price, the Pakistani variants or the local specification. The figures below come from Geely’s official Australian specification guide and may change for Pakistan.

Battery and motor

The EX5 is a fully electric SUV. It uses a 60.22 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and a single 160 kW front-mounted motor with 320 Nm of torque, driving the front wheels. Geely quotes 0–100 km/h in 6.9 to 7.1 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 175 km/h. The WLTP range is 430 km for the lighter version and 410 km for the better-equipped one. It accepts up to 11 kW AC and 100 kW DC charging, and it can power appliances through vehicle-to-load at up to 3.3 kW. A heat pump is standard. Geely has also launched an updated EX5 in China with faster charging, and it has not said which version Pakistan will get.

Size and practicality

At 4,615 mm long, 1,901 mm wide and 1,670 mm tall, with a 2,750 mm wheelbase, the EX5 is a compact-to-midsize five-seater. The boot holds 302 litres with the seats up, 410 litres including the underfloor space and 1,877 litres with the rear seats folded. The rear seats recline in two stages and split 60:40. Ground clearance is 148 mm or 168 mm depending on the version, which buyers should keep in mind on Pakistani roads.

Equipment

In Australia, both versions get seven airbags, a 15.4-inch touchscreen, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist and blind spot detection. They also have heated power front seats, automatic climate control with rear vents, keyless entry and wireless phone charging. The top version adds a panoramic sunroof, power tailgate, head-up display, ventilated and massaging front seats, front parking sensors and a 16-speaker sound system. Pakistani equipment may differ.

Which variant to buy

Our opinion: until Bestway confirms the Pakistani line-up, it is too early to pick a variant. If both versions are offered, the better-equipped one has the higher ground clearance and the ventilated seats that suit Pakistani roads and summers, while the lighter one has slightly more range. Wait for the official price and warranty before booking.
