Geely EX2

Pakistan launch status

The Geely EX2 is a small electric hatchback that Bestway Automotive, Geely’s authorised distributor, plans to import fully built into Pakistan. Bookings are expected before the end of 2026. The price, variants and Pakistani specification have not been announced, so the figures below come from Geely’s Australian launch, where it is sold in two versions. Other markets use different batteries, including a 39.4 kWh pack in South Africa and the Philippines.

Battery and motor

Unusually for a small car, the EX2 is rear-wheel drive. The lower version has a 35.35 kWh LFP battery and a 60 kW motor, giving a WLTP range of 252 km and 0–100 km/h in 14.2 seconds. The upper version has a 47.14 kWh battery and an 85 kW motor, raising the range to 345 km and cutting 0–100 km/h to 11.5 seconds. Both have 150 Nm of torque and 6.6 kW AC charging, while DC fast charging peaks at 60 kW or 80 kW. Vehicle-to-load lets you power devices at up to 3.3 kW. The EX2 sits on the same platform as the larger EX5 and Starray EM-i, with a 400-volt electrical system.

Size and practicality

The EX2 is 4,135 mm long, 1,805 mm wide and 1,580 mm tall, with a 2,645 mm wheelbase, so it is longer than most city hatchbacks sold in Pakistan. The boot holds 375 litres, rising to 1,320 litres with the 60:40 rear seats folded, and there is a 70-litre storage space under the bonnet, which is handy for keeping a charging cable away from luggage.

Equipment

In Australia, even the cheaper version gets seven airbags, a reversing camera, rear parking sensors, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring and lane keep assist. It also has a 14.6-inch touchscreen, an 8.8-inch digital cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay, navigation, automatic climate control, keyless entry and power-adjustable front seats. The upper version adds alloy wheels, a 360-degree camera, heated front seats, a power tailgate, rain-sensing wipers, ambient lighting and a wireless charger. Pakistani equipment may differ.

Warranty

Geely Pakistan has not published warranty terms. In Australia the EX2 has a seven-year vehicle warranty and an eight-year battery warranty, but Pakistan may not get the same cover.

Which variant to buy

Our opinion: if Pakistan gets both batteries, the larger one is the better buy for anyone who drives between cities, because 252 km leaves little margin on the motorway. The smaller battery makes sense mainly for short daily city trips with home charging. Wait for the official price before deciding.
