The Deepal S07 is a fully electric (BEV) SUV. Deepal Pakistan’s website lists a permanent magnet synchronous motor producing 255 hp and 320 Nm, driving the rear wheels. It is fed by a 66.8 kWh CATL ternary lithium battery, and the official claimed range is 485 km. DC fast charging takes the battery from 30% to 80% in about 35 minutes. Deepal does not publish the maximum AC or DC charging power on its Pakistani website, so check these figures with the dealer if charging speed matters to you.
The S07 has a 2,900 mm wheelbase, according to Deepal. Launch coverage by PakWheels gives its size as 4,750 mm long, 1,930 mm wide and 1,625 mm tall, with 165 mm of ground clearance and 20-inch wheels with 255/45 R20 tyres. The rear seat folds 60:40 to extend the boot, and rear passengers get a touchscreen that controls the air conditioning, the sunshade and the front passenger seat. A panoramic roof brings plenty of light into the cabin.
One version is sold. Official highlights include frameless doors with hidden handles, a 15.6-inch touchscreen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip with Huawei software, an augmented-reality head-up display, gesture recognition, and a 14-speaker Sony sound system with speakers in the driver’s headrest. The driver’s seat has 6-way power adjustment with 4-way power lumbar support, and cabin scenario modes include Camping, Cold, Car Wash and Nap. PakWheels’ launch report also lists front, side and curtain airbags, a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, blind spot detection and rear cross-traffic alert; these items are not listed on the official page.
Deepal Pakistan’s S07 web page does not publish warranty terms, so ask the dealer for the vehicle and battery warranty in writing before you pay.
The S07 comes in a single version priced at Rs 14,999,000 ex-factory including freight, under what the website calls an exclusive launch package with a free 7 kW wall-mounted charger. In our opinion it suits buyers who can charge at home and want a roomy, well-equipped electric SUV with a strong range. However, it costs Rs 5 million more than the range-extended S05, which has a more detailed published specification and removes range worries on long trips, so compare the two carefully. Because the S07 price is still labelled as a launch offer on the website, confirm the current price, stock and delivery time with an authorised dealer before booking.
