The BMW iX1 is BMW’s smallest fully electric SUV in Pakistan. Dewan Motors sells it as the iX1 xDrive30, with a motor on each axle for all-wheel drive. BMW’s official Pakistan site quotes a WLTP range of up to 438 km and says a 10-minute charge at a fast charger adds up to 120 km, while charging to 80% takes 29 minutes; the site labels these figures as provisional. BMW’s international data lists 230 kW and 494 Nm, a 64.8 kWh battery, 0–100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, 11 kW AC charging (about 6.5 hours for a full charge) and DC charging up to 130 kW.
The iX1 is a compact premium SUV with five seats. BMW’s international data lists it at 4,500 mm long, 1,845 mm wide and 1,616 mm tall, a size that is easy to park in busy city areas. The official site describes an illuminated boot with a folding floor insert and rear seat backs whose angle can be adjusted, which helps you fit more luggage.
The official site highlights the frameless BMW Curved Display with touch and voice control, a modern centre console with a wireless phone charging tray, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and BMW Maps connected navigation. Active seats with massage and lumbar functions are mentioned for comfort. Driver aids listed include Parking Assistant, which makes parking in tight spaces easier, and Reversing Assistant, which can steer the car back along the last 50 metres it drove. Dewan Motors does not publish a full standard-equipment list for the Pakistani car, so check the specification sheet at the showroom.
BMW Dewan gives a 2-year, unlimited-mileage vehicle warranty, and fifth-generation BMW electric cars like the iX1 get an 8-year or 160,000 km high-voltage battery warranty, whichever comes first. Local press reports a free wallbox charger with installation for BMW EV buyers.
There is a single iX1 on the price list, the xDrive30 at Rs 26,800,000. In our opinion it is a good fit for families who want a premium electric SUV mainly for city use. It costs only Rs 580,000 less than the iX2 xDrive30, which is built on a similar basis with a sportier coupe-style roof. In our view, choose the iX1 if you value a more upright, practical body shape over looks.
