MS Jaguar M1 overview and our opinion

Motor and battery

The MS Jaguar M1 is the brand’s premium city scooter. It uses a multi-mode 1200–1500W motor with a top speed of 60 km/h, the fastest of the Miso, Bolt and M1 trio. Two batteries are offered. The Graphene version uses a 72V/32Ah pack quoted at up to 90 km per charge, with a full charge taking about 7 hours. The LFP version uses a 64V/30Ah pack quoted at up to 100 km and fast-charges in 2.5–3 hours.

Size and practicality

The M1 has a sleek body with signature side light bars, 12-inch alloy rims and a dual disc braking system, which gives it a more grown-up look and feel than the smaller-wheeled Miso and Bolt. MS Jaguar’s website does not publish dimensions or weight. PakWheels lists the M1 at 1860 × 810 × 1160 mm, with a dry weight of 105 kg and 130 mm of ground clearance, but these figures are not confirmed by MS Jaguar. In our opinion, the larger wheels should also cope better with potholes and broken city roads than the 10-inch wheels on the Miso and Bolt.

Equipment by variant

Both versions get the same features: cruise control, reverse gear, NFC card access, parking mode, an anti-theft system, a USB charging port and a sports mode. The only difference is the battery. The Graphene version costs Rs 204,000 and the LFP version Rs 250,000. Three colours are offered, Crimson Black, Pearl White and Matte Black, with no price difference between them. The M1 was launched alongside the Miso and Bolt as part of MS Jaguar’s first electric-scooter range, and the company says all three are made in Pakistan.

Warranty

The motor carries a 24-month warranty on both versions. The battery is covered for 18 months on the Graphene version and 3 years on the LFP version. Service and genuine parts are available through MS Jaguar’s nationwide network of authorised dealers. MS Jaguar says it has more than 80 authorised dealers, and its launch article states that installment purchase options are available through the Daraz app.

Which one to buy

In our opinion, the M1 Graphene is the sweet spot of the MS Jaguar scooter range. For Rs 30,000 more than the Graphene Bolt, it adds a stronger motor, 10 km/h more top speed, 10 km more quoted range, bigger 12-inch wheels and dual disc brakes. The LFP version is worth the extra Rs 46,000 if you ride long distances every day or cannot wait 7 hours for a charge, because it charges in less than half the time and has double the battery warranty.
