MS Jaguar E-70 overview and our opinion

Motor and battery

The MS Jaguar E-70 is a locally made electric motorcycle with the shape and practicality of a conventional 70cc commuter bike. Both versions use a 1500W BLDC motor with a top speed of 70 km/h and an LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery pack assembled in-house by MS Jaguar. The quoted range is 90–100 km per charge. MS Jaguar’s specification table gives about 2.5 hours for a standard charge and 1–1.5 hours with the optional fast charger, while its FAQ says 2 hours and 1 hour. The battery is rated for 3,500 charge cycles and a 10-year lifespan. MS Jaguar says it was the first in Pakistan to use LFP batteries in electric two-wheelers, and its brochure highlights the chemistry’s high thermal stability.

Size and practicality

MS Jaguar has not published dimensions, weight, seat height, tyre sizes or brake types for the E-70. As an electric bike it does away with oil changes, tuning and chain-sprocket replacement, and MS Jaguar estimates running costs at about Rs 1,000 a month. That figure is the company’s estimate and will depend on your electricity tariff and daily distance. Both versions share the same motor and battery, so the choice between them comes down to styling, display and suspension.

Equipment by variant

The E-70, priced at Rs 265,000, comes with a digital meter, automatic error detection, a smart brake cut-off system, NFC card access, reverse mode, an anti-theft alarm, fuse and circuit-breaker protection and LED headlights. It is available in Red and Black. The E-70 Supreme, at Rs 275,000, uses the same platform and performance but adds a tablet-style digital meter, a redesigned fuel-tank-style body, refined styling and what MS Jaguar calls advanced open-spring suspension. It is offered in Red, Black and Blue.

Warranty

Both versions carry a 5-year battery warranty, which MS Jaguar promotes as Pakistan’s longest battery warranty, and a 1-year motor warranty. Service is provided through MS Jaguar’s nationwide dealer network. MS Jaguar says it has more than 80 authorised dealers across Pakistan.

Which one to buy

In our opinion, the E-70 Supreme is the better buy. For only Rs 10,000 more, it adds the larger display, updated styling, the improved suspension and a third colour option, while keeping the same range, speed and warranty. The standard E-70 still makes sense if you want the lowest price and prefer the classic look. Riders who regularly travel close to the E-70’s range limit in a day should consider the longer-range E-125 instead.
