MS Jaguar E-125

Motor and battery

The MS Jaguar E-125 is the brand’s flagship electric motorcycle, built for riders who want the feel of a 125cc commuter bike without petrol costs. It uses a 2000W BLDC motor, the most powerful in MS Jaguar’s electric-bike range, and has a top speed of 70 km/h. Its LFP battery pack, assembled in-house, gives a quoted range of 150–170 km per charge, the longest in the whole MS Jaguar line-up. A standard charge takes 2.5 hours, or 2 hours with the optional fast charger. The battery is rated for 3,500 charge cycles and a 10-year lifespan. MS Jaguar says it was the first in Pakistan to use LFP batteries in electric two-wheelers, and its brochure highlights the chemistry’s high thermal stability.

Size and practicality

MS Jaguar positions the E-125 for demanding daily use and long commutes. It has not published dimensions, weight, seat height, tyre sizes or brake types, so these should be checked at a dealer. Running costs are estimated by MS Jaguar at about Rs 1,500 a month, with no oil changes, tuning or chain replacements needed. That estimate will vary with your electricity tariff and how far you ride each day. In our opinion, the extra range also makes it the most practical MS Jaguar model for riders who cannot charge at work.

Equipment

The E-125 is sold in one version at Rs 370,000, in Red or Black. Equipment includes a digital meter, automatic error detection, a smart brake cut-off system, NFC card access, reverse mode, an anti-theft alarm system, fuse and circuit-breaker protection and LED headlights. This is the same feature list as the standard E-70, so the extra money buys range and power rather than extra gadgets. Unlike the E-70 Supreme, it does not get the tablet-style meter or open-spring suspension.

Warranty

The battery is covered by a 5-year warranty and the motor by a 1-year warranty, supported by MS Jaguar’s network of more than 80 authorised dealers across Pakistan.

Which one to buy

There is only one variant. In our opinion, the E-125 is worth its Rs 95,000 premium over the E-70 Supreme for riders who cover long distances every day, such as delivery riders or people with long suburban commutes, because its quoted range is roughly 60–70 km more and it can go much longer between charges. For short urban commutes, the E-70 or E-70 Supreme offers the same 70 km/h top speed and the same battery warranty for much less money.
