Price and what it is

The MF 240 is one of the best-known tractors in Pakistan, and Millat still calls it its most popular and economical tractor. It is a 50 hp, two-wheel-drive utility tractor made locally by Millat Tractors in Lahore. The ex-factory price is Rs 2,610,600 including 14% GST, from Millat’s price revision effective 16 May 2026. The official website does not publish a price list, so check the current rate with a dealer.

Engine and gearbox

The engine is the AD3.152 diesel: three cylinders, 2.5 litres, naturally aspirated with direct injection and an oil-bath air cleaner. Millat rates it at 50 hp at 2,250 rpm and 172 Nm at 1,400 rpm, with about 44 hp at the PTO (manufacturer’s estimate). The sliding-spur gearbox has 8 forward and 2 reverse gears, with a top speed of 27 km/h on the official chart. The dual clutch keeps the live PTO turning when you stop, which helps with threshers, tube wells and rotavators.

Size and practicality

The MF 240 is 3,175 mm long, 1,630 mm wide and 2,150 mm tall over the exhaust, with a 1,960 mm wheelbase. Gross weight is about 1,660 kg and ground clearance under the sump is 365 mm. It runs 6.00-16 front and 12.4/11-28 rear tyres, and the turning circle is 7,070 mm without brakes. The Ferguson hydraulic system offers draft, position and response control and lifts 1,415 kg at the lower-link ends. The fuel tank holds 50 litres.

Equipment

There is a single version. It comes with a tool box and tools, top link, check chains, a spring suspension seat, flat-top fenders, a rear-view mirror, a USB port, a wider heat shield and a maintenance-free battery. Steering is manual and the brakes are mechanical outboard drums. Optional extras include a swinging drawbar, front weights, a pintle hook and a 9-hole drawbar.

Warranty

Millat’s website does not publish warranty terms for the MF 240. Ask your dealer for the warranty details in writing.

Which one to buy

Our opinion: the MF 240 remains the safe, low-running-cost choice for small and medium farms doing haulage, ploughing and PTO work, and it is a familiar machine for mechanics across the country. If you want power steering or oil-immersed brakes, you will need to step up to the MF 260 Deluxe, which costs about Rs 718,000 more.
