Engine and gearbox

The DFSK C37 is a large passenger and utility van sold by Regal Automobiles. DFSK Pakistan’s website prices it at PKR 3,500,000. It has a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 5-speed manual gearbox with a hydraulic clutch, and DFSK confirms there is no automatic version. DFSK’s own page gives two different power figures: 107.2 hp in the headline banner and 115.24 hp in the FAQ section. Third-party sites quote 115 hp and 148 Nm of torque, with rear-wheel drive. Third-party sites also quote a fuel average of about 11 to 13 km per litre, but DFSK does not publish one.

Size and practicality

The C37 seats 11 people, which makes it one of the larger passenger vans at this price. DFSK pitches it as a multi-purpose van that can serve as a DSNG (broadcast) van, an ambulance, a courier van or a school van. Third-party specifications list it at 4500 mm long, 1680 mm wide and 2000 mm tall, on a 3050 mm wheelbase. They also give 185 mm of ground clearance, a 55-litre fuel tank and 185/80 R14 tyres. DFSK’s Pakistani site does not show these measurements, so check them with a dealer if they matter for your use, for example garage height or bodywork conversions.

Equipment

The C37 is sold in one version. DFSK lists electric power steering, power windows and dual air conditioning, so passengers in the back are not left without cooling. The chassis has MacPherson independent front suspension and a five-bar semi-independent rear. Braking is by front discs and rear drums on a dual-circuit hydraulic system. In our opinion, this is a working vehicle first, so buyers should not expect the comfort or safety equipment of a family car. DFSK does not publish airbag or ABS details for the C37.

Warranty and after-sales

DFSK Pakistan’s website advertises a standard warranty of 3 years or 60,000 km. Regal Automobiles also offers three free preventive maintenance services, at 1,000 km, 5,000 km and 10,000 km, with free labour but paid parts and lubricants. Service is available through Prince-DFSK 3S dealerships.

Which variant to buy

There is only one C37, so the choice is whether it suits your needs. In our opinion, it makes most sense for schools, businesses and transport operators who need 11 seats in a vehicle that is still manageable in city traffic. If you need fewer seats and a lower price, DFSK’s smaller Humsafar van is the alternative. Before booking, ask for the current price in writing. The same official page also carries older price data, and DFSK does not date its prices.
