Road King lists the Bestie at Rs 98,000 on its official website, which makes it the least expensive model in the current line-up. Road King builds its electric bikes and scooties at its factory in Faisalabad.
The official website does not publish a specification sheet for the Bestie. According to PakWheels, it uses a 350-watt brushless (BLDC) motor and a 48V 14Ah graphene battery. PakWheels quotes a range of about 35 km, a top speed of 25 km/h and a charging time of around 4 hours. Road King says its graphene batteries are non-flammable and long-lasting.
PakWheels lists the Bestie at 1,750 mm long, 700 mm wide and 1,014 mm tall, with a dry weight of 65 kg, 130 mm of ground clearance and 12-inch wheels. PakWheels also says it has pedals that let you keep moving if the battery runs flat. At 25 km/h it is slower than traffic on main roads, so it suits colony streets, school runs and short errands rather than daily commuting on busy routes.
There is a single version. Road King has not published an equipment list for it, and PakWheels refers to drum brakes. Check the lighting, meter and brakes on the showroom bike before you pay.
The official website does not publish warranty terms for the Bestie, so ask the dealer to put the battery and motor warranty in writing.
There is only one version. In our opinion, the Bestie makes sense as a first electric ride for a student or for short neighbourhood trips where a low price matters more than speed and range. Riders who need to cover more than about 30 km a day, or keep up with traffic, should look at the Joy or Cherry instead.
No price change recorded for this variant yet.
