For most families in Pakistan the Honda CD 70 is not just a motorcycle, it is the motorcycle. Atlas Honda has built it in Sheikhupura for decades, and the formula has barely changed: a small, frugal four-stroke engine, a light backbone frame and a price that keeps it within reach of first-time buyers. In October 2026 it costs Rs 159,900 ex-factory and comes in red, black and blue.
The CD 70 uses a 72cc, 4-stroke OHC air-cooled engine (bore and stroke 47.0 × 41.4 mm, compression ratio 9.3:1) paired with a 4-speed constant-mesh gearbox and a multiplate wet clutch. Starting is by kick only. Honda does not publish a power figure or an official fuel average for the Pakistani CD 70, so we don’t quote one; in everyday use it is known as one of the most economical bikes on sale.
At 1,897 mm long and 82 kg dry, it is easy to push, park and manoeuvre through traffic in Karachi, Lahore or any small town. The 8.5-litre tank (1 litre reserve) gives a long range between fill-ups, and 136 mm of ground clearance copes with most city roads. Tyres are 2.25-17 at the front and 2.50-17 at the rear.
Atlas Honda’s warranty covers the engine for 3 years or 20,000 km, and the frame, body and electrics for 6 months or 6,000 km, whichever comes first. Three free services are included (1,000 km, 3,000 km and 5,000 km), and every town in Pakistan has a mechanic who knows the CD 70 inside out.
Buy the CD 70 if you want the lowest total cost of ownership: daily commuting, deliveries or a first bike for a student. If you want a little more style for Rs 11,000 more, look at the CD 70 Dream; if you carry a passenger every day or ride on highways, the extra torque of a 100cc or 125cc bike such as the Pridor or CG 125 is worth paying for.
The Honda CD 70 costs Rs 1.6 lakh ex-factory (CD 70: Rs 159,900). It is available in Blue, Red and Black. The ex-factory price is the same in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and every other city; registration and token tax differ by province, so the on-the-road amount you pay can vary slightly. Prices are taken from Atlas Honda’s official website and we update them when Honda revises its price list.
